This 450 year old listed building features a large, open fire in the main bar and a raised deck overlooking the River Chelmer. A selection of real ales are available. Hot meals are served Wednesday to Sunday lunchtime and Wednesday to Saturday evenings, with vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free choices available. Roast dinners and barbecue on selected dates.

The venue has occasional live music and a function room is available for hire.

The Muddy Duck was previously known as the Sunny Sailor and before that, the Welcome Sailor.
