Welcome to Maldon Splash Park, Essex's favourite children's water park!

Located in the centre of Promenade Park in Maldon, the Splash Park offers a family and child friendly environment to cool off in. Featuring a great selection of interactive and accessible play equipment to enjoy, this is the perfect summer destination for a family day out!

What time do you open? 

The first session will open at 10am every day unless we are forced to close due to mechanical failure, bad weather, or an emergency.  

If we close during a public session; this will be announced on Places Leisure's website, and relayed by Visit Maldon District when possible.  

 

What time do you close? 

The last session is at 5pm meaning facility closes at 5.30 every day unless there is a private booking for a later slot or the team on site decides to keep it open later due to good weather conditions.  

 

How much does it cost? 

Adults may not enter unless they are accompanying a child, and one adult (over 16) can accompany up to three children under 8. Tickets cost £2.75 for an adult and one child under 8, £5 for an adult and two children under 8 and £7.25 for an adult and three children under 8. Additional children over 8 are £2.25 each. Additional adults are 50p. Only persons booked in will be able to access the splash park area. Proof of confirmation email must be shown on arrival.

 

How can I book? 

Please book online at www.placesleisure.org/centres/blackwater-leisure-centre/centre-activities/maldon-splash-park/. You will need to create a free membership with Places Leisure before booking. We do not accept payment any other way than online.

 

Can I book multiple sessions?

You can book multiple session during your visit, however you will need to leave the Splash Park between each session to enable our staff to clean the area ahead of your next session.

 

Can I change or cancel my booking? 

Once a free membership has been set up you may go into your account and manage your own bookings, including any changes to times and dates.

Where can I park? 

Pay and Display parking (which includes disabled parking) is available in Promenade Park. Details for these can be found at Parking - Visit Maldon (visitmaldondistrict.co.uk)

 

Are there toilets on site? 

There are public toilets (including disabled access and Changing Room toilets) located next to the Splash Park by the Petting Zoo. If you have an ‘accident’, please speak to a member of staff for help. 

 

What is your clothing policy? 

All visitors must wear appropriate swimwear. Younger visitors must wear a swim nappy. If you are a parent/guardian and may need to go into the water during the session, we strongly advise wearing swimwear as you will get very wet. There are no changing facilites in the Splash Park, we advise all visitors to change in advance or to use the nearby public toilets.

 

Can I take photos? 

Yes, you can take photos of your friends and family. If you see someone taking photos who you suspect is behaving inappropriately, please speak to a member of staff.

 

Can I bring my dog/pet? 

Dogs and pets are not allowed within the fenced area of the Valley Play Area, Splash Park and Beach Huts at any time, except for assistance dogs.

 

Is the Splash Park accessible for those with disabilities? 

Yes, the Splash Park has step-free access throughout. A wheelchair is available on request for use in the Splash Park, please speak to staff on your arrival. A Changing Places facility is available in the park which includes a hoist, a RADAR key is required if you wish to use this facility. 

 

Can I take food or drink into the Splash Park? 

No, please do not bring any food, drink or glass into the Splash Park. Food and drinks can be eaten at the picnic benches located around the park. Food and drinks can be purchased at the kiosks nearby.
