Maldon District Council’s vision is to create a thriving events programme that is recognised for the opportunities it offers all residents and visitors.
We are keen to celebrate and support arts, recreation, cultural heritage, events, festivals and sporting activities for the greater benefit of the community.

The District has several key locations suitable for a range of activities, centred on the Promenade Park, Maldon, and Riverside Park, Burnham-on-Crouch.

The COVID19 pandemic has fundamentally changed the way events and attractions will be run for 2021, and we are looking for applications for concepts that have a demonstratable ‘COVID-Secure’ plan and are appropriate for the relevant stages of the roadmap out of the pandemic.

You must include details of how you will provide a COVID secure event/activity and demonstrate your understanding of the restrictions that may be in force when you run your event.

Please complete the expression of interest form to register with us.

This process does not guarantee you may operate - please note further assessment of your processes and paperwork such as insurance, Health and Safety plus any relevant hygiene registrations will still be required at a later date.

MDC reserves the right to accept or refuse applications, all decisions are final and no further correspondence will be entered into - canvassing of elected members is not permitted.

Are you an event organiser, an attraction operator or a food concession looking for a new venue? Do you have a good idea or concept that our visitors would enjoy?

Please use our online Expression of Interest Form to tell us what you would like to do on one of the available open spaces.

The first round of considerations will close on 23rd March 2021, other rounds may be announced later in year.

Please note we are not currently looking for ice-cream concessions for any of our sites for 2021.
