The Maldon District offers a full calendar of entertainment to suit all interests and budgets with a quality event to attend whatever time of year you decide to visit, often staged in quirky venues that are sure to make your experience unique and memorable. Watch our annual firework display set against the spectacular backdrop of traditional Thames Barges, or a popular drama performed in a tractor shed. Dance the night away in a WWI aerodrome hanger, listen to a world-class choir perform in an historic chapel, or camp like a castaway on beautiful Northey Island. Colourful regattas, family fun, beer festivals, country shows, music, culture, the inspiring Saltmarsh 75 endurance challenge, and of course, the wacky, internationally renowned Mud Race, all have their home here!

Check out our Local Page for all events, groups, societies and more that your may be interested in joining or attending. The Maldon District has something to offer all of its residents and visitors alike.

A Life on the Ocean Wave is a concert of maritime music by the Maldon Orchestra. The performance will raise money for the Brent Trust and the Maldon RNLI, and will take place at the Maldon Town Hall. A licensed bar will be available, and there is no intermission during the concert.

Latchingdon Arts and Drama Society (LADS) proudly present three episodes of the popular television series Dad's Army. By Jimmy Perry and David Croft, the play is performed by amateur actors. There will be a short interval during which refreshments will be available.
