The White Harte offers a choice of 19 contemporary bedrooms, 8 of which overlook the River Crouch and beautiful Essex countryside. The rooms reflect the traditional décor throughout the remainder of the hotel with the original wooden beams on display in most rooms. The variety of rooms ensure that whether your stay is for business or pleasure, we have something to cater for your requirements. There is an open fire in the bar and a jetty outside to enjoy the riverside in the summer. Dinning in our traditional dinning room or more casually in the bar areas.
Rooms have free access to high speed Broadband WiFi and are provided with crisp cotton sheets and towels. Travel cots and Z beds are available for certain rooms upon request.
Our 19 rooms are broken down as follows:
- 4 x Superior ensuite rooms located on the 1st floor overlooking the River Crouch with a bath, TV, toilet & shower £105 Double B&B / £82 Single B&B
- 7 x Standard ensuite rooms with a shower, TV & toilet (Some situated on the 2nd floor overlooking the River Crouch. Please note that access to the 2nd floor is via a steep staircase.) £95 Double/Twin B&B / £69 Single B&B
- 4 x Basic rooms (Main Hotel) with TV, tea/coffee facilities, shared toilet, bath & shower £69 Double B&B / £49 Single B&B
- 4 x Basic rooms (Annex) with their own sink & shared bath, shower & toilet. These rooms are located in a separate annex building which do not overlook the river £59 Double B&B / £38 Single B&B

Directions From Southend-On-Sea (approximately 45 minutes)
Follow the A127 (London bound), take the turn off sign posted Chelmsford A130 and continue for approximately 2 miles. Join the A132 sign posted South Woodham Ferrers. Go over the roundabout and follow the B1012 towards Burnham-On-Crouch. Continue through Althorne via the B1010, along the Burnham bends and you will arrive in Burnham. Turn right at the T junction, go over the railway bridge and continue down the high street. Go past the War Memorial and turn right at the clock tower up Shore Road. The hotel & car park is on the right 50 yards up Shore Road.
Directions From Chelmsford (approximately 40 minutes)
Follow the A414 into Danbury and continue through Danbury until you reach the B1010 (Burnham Road). Continue along the B1010, through Althorne and into Burnham. Turn right at the T junction, go over the railway bridge and continue down the high street. Go past the War Memorial and turn right at the clock tower up Shore Road. The hotel & car park is on the right 50 yards up Shore Road.
Directions From Colchester (approximately 50 minutes)
Continue down the A12 south bound and turn off after junction 23 at Rivenhall End (Braxted Road). Turn right and continue down the B1022 (Maldon Road). Go through Great Totham and Heybridge until you reach Maldon. Pick up the A414 until you reach the Morrisons roundabout. Turn left onto the B1018 for approximately 1 mile then turn right onto the B1010. Continue along the B1010 towards Burnham, passing through Althorne along the way. Turn right at the T junction, go over the railway bridge and continue down the high street. Go past the War Memorial and turn right at the clock tower up Shore Road. The hotel & car park is on the right 50 yards up Shore Road.

Follow the A13 (east bound) sign posted Southend-On-Sea. Continue past the Dartford Crossing and Basildon and join the A130 sign posted Chelmsford and continue for approximately 2 miles. Join the A132 sign posted South Woodham Ferrers. Go over the roundabout and follow the B1012 towards Burnham-On-Crouch.
