Come aboard the historic sailing barge Resourceful for a memorable tearoom experience. Moored at Cooks Barge Yard on Maldon's picturesque Hythe Quay, with fantastic river views whatever the weather.
You can enjoy breakfast, light lunches and afternoon tea, with fresh ingredients supplied from the High Street. Our delicious cakes, scones, mini quiches and soups are all cooked on board daily in the galley.
Private Room available for Teas, Lunches, family gatherings and meetings.
Central heating for colder days with deck seating for winter sun and dog walkers. Cyclists welcome with bike parking on the Yard.
Winter opening Thurs to Sun 10-5 until Easter, then 7 days a week from Easter onwards.

Our barge tearooms is now open all year round and 6 days a week (tues – Sun) 10-5 and also bank holiday Mondays.

By Road:
Maldon Quay - from A12 South take A414 for Danbury and Maldon and follow into Maldon. Follow signs for town Centre and come down High Street. At bottom of high street, take left fork down Church Street to Quay. Parking at bottom of High Street in Edward Bright Close (Marked "P-Hythe Quay". From A12 North take exit for Witham and follow signs to Maldon.
