About

This beautiful walk takes in a varied section of the Chelmer & Blackwater Navigation, as it meanders through Heybridge, passing industrial areas and then emerging into the countryside. The towpath then reaches the sea lock at Heybridge Basin, before returning to Maldon via the seawall along banks of the River Blackwater. There are lovely views of Maldon’s historic waterfront from the seawall.
