Located in the historic maritime towns of Maldon and Burnham-on-Crouch, the two Tourist Information Centres in the Maldon District are situated in the centres of these towns. The two TICs offer a selection of free guides and brochures to help you understand and appreciate this unique area. Souvenirs, locally made crafts and produce, maps, books, event tickets, cards, discount tickets are also available for purchase.


Friendly and knowledgable staff at Maldon District Tourist Information Centre (TIC), an Enjoy England Official Partner, are on hand to offer advice to help you make the most of your visit. Situated just off the High Street in Wenlock Way, the TIC offers a selection of free guides and brochures to help you explore this unique area. On sale, you will find maps, walking and cycling guides, local history books, tide tables, postcards and souvenirs, gifts and greeting cards.

Many items reflect the maritime theme of the area and are sourced locally, such as Maldon Salt and Wilkin & Son Tiptree Jam preserves, making it an ideal place to find a unique and unusual gift or souvenir. Maldon TIC is now licensed and will be stocking a range of local beer, wine and spirits.

The TIC is also the main box office selling tickets for local events, along with discount entry tickets for local attractions. Local bus and train timetable, as well as events guides are available and information about other attractions and resorts across the UK.

The Burnham-on-Crouch Tourist Information Centre (TIC) is located on the High Street close to the famous Clock Tower. Friendly staff are on hand to offer advice about the area, whether it's about transport information, or great places to go for a scenic walk.

A wide range of leaflets, guides and brochures about attractions and events within the Maldon District, bus and train timetables, coach trip brochures and information on attractions outside of the district are all available. Burnham TIC stocks Maldon Salt and Wilkin & Sons Tiptree Jam products, locally-sourced items such as Burnham honey, artwork, fused glass and ceramics along with Burnham-on-Crouch souvenirs and postcards.

You can also find books for sale about local history, maritime, and wildlife. Gift items have been carefully selected to reflect the nautical heritage of Burnham-on-Crouch. Discount entry tickets for local attractions are available for purchase as well.

Would you like to increase your audience? Maldon District Tourist Information Centre offers a full box office service to support your event and help maximise your ticket sales. We currently sell tickets for most local events, large and small. To help promote your event we will add it to our website and have promotional material in our office for any visitors. Staff at the TIC have a vast experience of local events; this helps when discussing seating plans, accessibility etc. We can take payments by cash, cheque or credit /debit card, both in person and over the phone, either posting tickets out, if time permits, or arranging for them to be held for collection on the door.
