Fresh local vegetables and fruit are available from Jacobs Farm Shop in Heybridge, run by J.McCready & Son, a family business based in Heybridge and Tolleshunt Major.

Produce includes a wide range of vegetables in season, including purple sprouting and white sprouting broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, curly kale, cavelo Nero,  brussel sprouts, khol rabi, onions, leeks and carrots. Homegrown potatoes - Maris Piper, Desiree and earlies (in season) along with tomatoes, aubergines and cucumbers from the glasshouse in the summer, and homemade holly wreaths at Christmas.

The farm shop is especially known for its local apples, including the famous D'Arcy Spice, plus locally grown pears and quinces.
