About

The Twinning Link sculpture was placed in Promenade Park in 1991 to celebrate the 22nd anniversary of the twinning of Maldon with Cuijk in The Netherlands. In the shape of giant intertwined links, the 1.5m high cast iron sculpture was designed by Dutch artist Berry Hermans and made by Great Totham company Tom Polden Engineering. A matching sculpture stands in a park in Cuijk.
