Maldon Fitsteps is a scheme aimed at the over 50s. The scheme offers a choice of walks three times a week in the Maldon, Dengie and South Chelmsford areas. Walks are planned to be up to 90 minutes in duration, mainly on Public Rights of Way footpaths. There is also a shorter 30 minute walk once a week.
Walking makes you feel good, and Fitsteps provides an opportunity to have fun, socialise and meet new people, as well as becoming healthier and more active.
Walks are led by volunteer walk leaders and are over easy ground and taken at steady pace to suit everyone, ranging from 10 to 90 minutes in length, with at least one short walk a week. All walks are accessible on foot or by public transport.
You can join the scheme free, and you only need to join a group once to access all future walks.
