About
St Nicholas Church is situated prominently within the village. It is Grade I Listed, built 1380-1420. The building has modern toilet facilities and services are usually held on the second and fourth Sundays of each month.
In the churchyard extension, on the opposite side of the road heading out of the village, there are three Commonwealth War Graves: Private Hector MacDonald Hawes from the Pioneer Corps and Private Edward Chaplin from the Essex Regiment who died in the Second World War and Private George Ager, also from the Essex Regiment, from the First World War.
