Children sitting in the library with Santa

About

Come along and meet Santa, tell him what you want for Christmas, join in with our festive crafts and enjoy some free refreshments.

Essex Libraries is spreading the joy of the festive season with the return of the Santa Bus. Funded by The Community Partnership Fund and in partnership with the Essex Children and Families Wellbeing Service, the bus Is back again for 2023, with Santa visiting 17 locations this year.

During their free visit with Santa, children will have the opportunity to read a book with him and talk about what they want for Christmas this year. They are then taken into the library to do crafts and Santa’s elves will help children sign up to the library or pick out a book to reader over the winter period.

A couple of things to be aware of when booking:

• Please only book for the number of children, adults can come along but do not need to book a space.

• If you only want to take part in the crafts and refreshments, you do not have to book.
