This is a beautiful linear walk along the River Crouch, using the train service to return to the start. There’s an early opportunity to spot wildlife in the Blue House Farm Nature Reserve, and the expansive views of the river and landscape are breathtaking.This is a moderate walk of around 6.7 miles - on the map, follow the "short cut" route to finish at Althorne station.
