About

Maldon Wick:

This 15 acre reserve consists of 1.5 miles of the former Maldon-Woodham Ferrers railway line, most of it on embankment. The northern 250m of the embankment has been isolated by the Maldon southern link road.

Maldon Wycke:

A small nature reserve just off the A414/Limebrook Way roundabout on the edge of Maldon. Located adjacent to the Maldon Wick, this site has a large pond and wildflower meadow.

Maldon Wick & Wycke Meadow is managed by Essex Wildlife Trust.

Please note: the car-parking area is now closed, but a new crossing with traffic lights has been installed for access from Morrisons opposite the site.
