The parish church of St Mary and St Margaret is Grade II* Listed. The church chancel was built in the 14th century and the nave in the 15th century. A major refurbishment took place in 1870 at the same time that the adjoining school house was built. The north vestry was added in 1912 and rebuilt in 1950. The graves of several WW1 airmen who were stationed at Stow Maries Aerodrome can be found in the church graveyard.

In total there are four Commonwealth War Graves from the First World War and one from the Second World War. These are Second Lt R Mouritzen, Second Lt Edward Mucklow (aka Milburn), Lt Edward Nicholls, Second Lt Edward Milburn, all from the RAF, and Pioneer J Bradfield from the Royal Engineers from the First World War.

Wing Commander Claude Alward Ridley who served as a fighter pilot at Stow Maries Aerodrome during the First World War and was recalled to service in the next war, but died of natural causes in 1942 aged 45, is also bured there. He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order and the Military Cross for shooting down a Zeppelin in 1916. You can read more about his life and service here.
